Harbor Breeze fan will not work with light
We recently installed a Harbor Breeze fan with a remote. The fan works fine but when we turn on the lights the fan stops working. We have went through the wiring and believe it's all done correctly and they are all tightly connected. What could cause this? We put in 60 W CFL bulbs.

Sounds like this fan had a factory remote and recceiver so your wiring was very limited. If you did black to black, white to white and green/ground to ground both light and fan should work. Since they don't you probably have a bad receiver. I'd take it back to Home Depot.

I agree. If you're concerned about the CF bulbs you can try conventional bulbs. I would also try wiring it without the receiver, although it's fairly obvious the problem is the receiver. Take it back.
