    calculating dividends
    Don't even know where to start. Is there an equation I am suppose to be using or is it really easy and I am just not getting it.

    Here is the problem I am suppose to figure it for


    Using the information for Dean Corporation, calculate the amount of dividends Dean most likely paid to common stockholders in 2007,2008,2009.

    Retained Earning Blances Net Income
    January 1,2007 $760
    December 31,2007 $1026 2007 $48
    December 31,2008 $1171 2008 $200
    December 31,2009 $1164 2009 $330
