Central AC with gas furnace blower not working
The house was getting hot so I checked the thermostat and discovered there was no air coming out of the vents. The outside unit comes on but no noise from up in the attic. I had no problems earlier in the day. The fan doesn't come on in the auto or on position.

If your air handler is in the attic it should have a pan under it with an float switch attched to rhe side of it. If the pan is not full of water, move the switch up and dow a few times and see if the unit starts up. If this is not the case, Check to make sure you are getting power ot the unit. If so, could be fan motor, capacitor or relay.

I checked the pan(empty)but don't know where the switch is. I heard the blower come on with the fan on auto and the ac and heat in the off position. I turned on the ac and the unit outside turned on but the blower turned off a few minutes later. I tried the heater and it worked fine. I am a single woman and am trying to get this to work.:(

It actually ended up being loose wiring in the attic. Wiggled the wires and the blower came on so I cut back and made new conections and everything is working fine now. Thank You for all your help... Patty:)
