    New install, old house-new dishwasher
The dishwasher guy didn't come when he'd said. How hard is it to do the drain/plumbing part? My kitchen is apart...
I'm sure I could get the hot water part , but the drain is a bit iffy. I yanked out the cabinet, got the powerline run... electrician is a great guy... and will help.. (its not connected to any thing but neutral & ground ) he'll come back... I do stained glass so the soddering one little pipe for hot water I can do.. but the durn drain is getting me.. I don't yet have garb disp. So no air vent is what I gather... I need to figure where to put the pipe piece for the dishwasher drainhose.
OK razz me if you must but answer the question.. I have double sink, the one pipe goes to both sinks then the trap then straight down, can I just unlink after trap replace with the piece for dish washer to drain into? The vidios and other pic'c look like the pipe normally goes above trap. Not a lot of room . What do you think? Call another guy?

If you can do the water the drain's a snap. Purchase a branch tailpiece,(see image) and replace the tailpiece that connects the drain to the trap. This is where you will connect the discharge hose. Run the hose up as high as it wiill go in the cabinet and secure it there with a pipe strap and loop it back down to the branch tailpiece. You have just built a "high loop" that will act as a air gap. That's all there is to it. Good luck, Tom
