The moving has come to a complete hault. The Navy just informed us today, 3 weeks before moving, that they won't ship our belongings. Gee, thanks Navy.

Now we are scrambling to pack and find a UHaul... sheesh! I'm sorry, but when it comes to taking care of their people, the Navy is good for nothing.

Nautical, (for some reason I want to call you naughty) LOL Sorry things have been so rough for you. I think that they should be the ones picking up the cost, since they are the reason you are leaving. What a disappointment!~ IT is difficult when our troops and military cannot be supported sufficiently. My cousin's husband is in the Marines, Reserves. He has been to Iraq 3 times, and they decided after the third trip that he had to pay back all the money they gave him for the time he took off from work. He owes them about $48,000! THey had just had their 3rd kid too, and he missed her being born and the first 8 months of her life. They have been struggling but they are strong so I know they will survive! YOu are strong too and I hope things work out for you, one way or the other. I wish you guys the best.

That is so ridiculous what is happening to your cousin's husband. The military is all about "taking care of their people" and its just not that way. My husband missed the birth of my first son too. He called me from the ship while I was in the hospital and he just cried because he wanted to be there so bad. Jeez, $48,000, how do they expect anyone to just come up with money like that at the snap of a finger? Especially someone in the military, they don't get paid hardly squat as it is. I hope everything turns out OK with your cousin's husband.

I used PODS to singlehandedly move absolutely everything in my house! Way WAY better than Umph-haul... check it out...
