I had unprotected sex 5 days ago and I'm worried I am pregnant today I have bad cramps in stomach and also light pink mucus. I was due on my period around now but not sure if I could still be pregnant can anyone help :confused:

Unfortunately it is too early to tell. If you are supposed to get your period about now, you may still be pregnant and still get a period.

Unfortunately you are now in the waiting zone.

OK do tests work this early? Would it be a slim chance I'm pregnant as I don't want more kids and also the guy I'm with doesn't want them

It is way too early to test. The pregnancy hormone, hcg, takes a while to build up in your system. You really won't know for at least another month.

Now, as for not wanting kids... You shouldn't be having unprotected sex. But I'm sure you know that.

Sex, whether protected or not can still result in pregnancy.

I'm probs worrying over nothing but didn't no the chances of getting pregnant few days before a period is due

It all depends on your ovulation. Once you release an egg it is only viable for 24 hours. However, sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days.

Soooooo, if you have not ovulated yet, but had sex, then 3 days later you ovulate, guess what. Yup, you can get pregnant.

I don't really know what getting drunk and getting caught in the moment is like. But I do know that even with protection, pregnancy is still a possibility.

Ok, don't anybody criticize me this time because the lady did say she doesn't want anymore kids and so does her boyfriend. If you read my other answers you'll know what I'm talking about.

It is too early to tell if you're pregnant or not but I heard there are pregnancy tests that can detect it very early. I don't know about those expensive tests because I always used the ones from the 99 cents store *lol and they worked just fine. Even if it says negative about a week later it could say positive.

There are some that can supposedly detect early. But NOT 5 days after intercourse. It takes time to build up the pregnancy hormone in the system, and it doesn't happen in 5 days. It takes up to a month before there is enough hcg to be detected.
