    Hun, very few people age 18 get colon cancer. Does it run in your family? If not, don't be too concerned.

    Yes it is entirely possible that you are giving yourself that pain. The mind is an amazing thing and can often "trick" the body into thinking there are medical issues.

    If it makes you feel any better the occurrence of prostate cancer in someone under 40 is extremely rare. You are very young and are probably feeling freaked out that cancer happened to someone young and someone you know.

    Glinda, giggle, prostate cancer and colon cancer are two different things hun.

    Women can and do get colon cancer, but don't have a prostate so they can't get prostate cancer. LOL

    Have you gone in to speak to your family doctor or even a call to the nurse in their office? It may help to hear straight from a medical professional (though J_9 is on her way to being one)

    I understand your fears, but you must know, and I am sure you do, that colon cancer is not contagious. So, you may know someone with it, but you can't get it from them.

    You also must know that most times there are no symptoms of colon cancer. Many times it is asymptomatic.

    Are you experiencing any of these symptoms?

    * Diarrhea, constipation, or other change in bowel habits
    * Blood in the stool
    * Unexplained anemia
    * Abdominal pain and tenderness in the lower abdomen
    * Intestinal obstruction
    * Weight loss with no known reason
    * Narrow stools

    Well, then seems like you are taking good care of yourself.

    The docs have assured you that you do not have colon cancer, so there is little to be afraid of.

    They haven't told me I have it or didn't have it. It just I have had several... test done for health reason and nuttin comes up... Im just wondering if having black stools always means you have bleeding... I drink a lot of red juice. And meat... at times I don't know if that could cause it... also if I push and it hurts I have a little drop a blood is that just tissue that is tearing... see with me I don't eat enough during the week to even go to the bathroom everyday (#2) I drink a lot of juice pop and water... but food wise I don't because I'm always busy I get dinner and lunch and breakfast sometimes but every since I was deydrated last year my stomach has become even smaller. As in I can't eat much or it hurts my stomach but I've been check for all stomach problems everything came back normal and I happen to check all side effects of my meds last night and all have stomach pain, nausua, tenderness, everything... which sucks... within the year I have had several test done if I had anything would they have found it during all theses test??
