I am on the depo shot and I am scheduled to have another one on October 16th but the problem is I have been bleeding on and off for the pass two months and I am worried. I don't want to be on the shot anymore... I would like to know what I need to do and have long after the depo shot do you have to wait to get pregnant or find out if you are pregnant??

It is common to have irregular bleeding while you are on any time of medication for birth control.
In most cases, Depo stops the menstrual cycle altogether, how long have you been on it?

If you don't want the shot, just don't get the next one in October.
Are you not wanting on the shot to get on another type of birth control or because you want to get pregnant?

Depo can take up to 18 months to get fully out of your system.
If you are wanting to get on another type of birth control, just set an appt with your doctor to discuss which one may work best for you.
