    Ceiling fan remote control
Just had an electrician install 5 Harbor Breeze Triton 52" fans in a home we remodeled.

In one room, the fan only goes on HIGH regardless of which button you push. I changed the dip switches with another fan remote and the same thing happened, so I assume it is not a remote problem.

Any suggestions as to why 1 of 5 fans will not operate at LOW or MED?

    Thanks

If the fan has a pull chain (like a short stub), the chain should be at the highest fan speed.

No, these fans do not have any "pull chains" for the light or fan.

The only switch is to reverse the fan direction.

What happens when you set it to low or medium? Does it stop, or stay on high? Does the light operate as normal?

Either way it's a defective fan receiver, if they're new I would exchange it.

Light works fine; fan stays on high.

Will contact Lowe's about replacing receiver.

    Thanks

I meant, exchange the whole fan.

I am currently remodeling my home and am coming across a major problem that NO ONE seems to have an answer for. I have two ceiling fans that operate via remote control. The rest of the ones in my home are the popular "pull down" chains - and those work prefectly with the new fan/light dimmers...
