    Aoratic anuerysm
I have an aoratic anuerysm. Should I be worried? They are only watching it. I get a cat scan yearly. Could stress cause it to just burst one day?

Watch for any back pain and get immediate assistance. My uncle died from it. He helped his son move and thought he hurt his back. The aneurism was leaking and caused back pain.

I would ask the doc, if you should keep an eye on your blood pressure with a home testing kit. I think you need to define stress and ask the doc what activities you can do.

I would be worried if my doctor told me I had an aortic aneurysm. Then I would make sure I followed my doctor's advice on how to care for myself and what to watch for. Buy a home blood pressure kit, they are not that expensive. Monitor daily and report changes to your doctor. If you note unusual chest or back pain, call your doctor.

You can read through the following page on symptoms: Aortic Aneurysm

The very best of health to you.

Typically no surgery/therapy is required if it is a small aneurysm, and we wait until it gets big enough to treat. Should you be worried? Probably. Depending on aneurysm size, it is possible that there is a contrindication to treatment, meaning you are already either sick for another unrelated reason or you are elderly and could not tolerate surgery.

    But I could be wrong.
