    Worried about my boxer
I've noticed my boxer has some tiny black pieces of something stuck on his butt. I wiped it off with olive oil and a soft rag and I noticed it slowly coming back. He seems healthy and fine with no changes in his everyday habits but I'm worried cause I've never seen this before. What should I do.:(

:D My, my, my that is strange indeed. How long before it started coming back? Could it be he's dragging his rump outside and getting stuff on it? Is it right around the poop chute? Could be poo splatters. Gosh us dog lovers sure are gross aren't we?:D

Poo splatters should stay wiped off until the next bowel movement. I hate to send you to the vet for something so minor, but from your description, I have no idea.

If you weren't able to wipe them off, I would have thought "skin tags", which are very normal for boxers. But, since they can be removed, I am at a loss. Does he have diarrhea when this occurs? That would explain the possibility of his feces spattering, sticking, and you ability to remove them with olive oil because it dries out and sticks to the skin. Are you watching his bowel movements? If not, you need to make sure that he doesn't have a chronic case of diarrhea. If it isn't diarrhea splash back, I would just keep the area clean and watch it. If this is really causing you concern, take him into the vet and let him/her see what is occurring.
