    Thermostst Wiring
I have a 20 year old Honeywell Chronotherm thermostat which I am planning to replace with a Honeywell TH8321. I need help in wiring.

Currently I have wires connected to G, W2, X, O, Y and R in the current Chronotherm. I understand the relevant connectors in the TH8321 are Y, G, O/B, R, C and AUX. Am I correct about the relevant TH8321 connectors and if so, which will be the corresponding terminals to connect? Any other tips or do's/don'ts.

I have a Lennox HeatPump with auxiliary gas heating.

    Thanks.

Turn the power off first going to fan coil unit so you don't blow a transformer. The wires will hook up the same. Except W2 will go to Aux and X to C on the new t-stat. Make sure the new t-stat is set up to energize the reversing valve in the cooling mode( O/B). Good luck.

    Thanks a million.

I have a couple of additional queries.

    1. I have a second heatpump upstairs, but without auxiliary heat. I intend replacing chronotherm with TH8321 here also. I guess the same connection translation applies. Please confirm.

    2. I heard from a guy here that chronotherm w2 wire should be connected to AUX and E (through jumper cable). Is that correct? If so what kind of jumper cable should I use.

Again very many thanks for all your help.

Yes the same way. If you have the aux and E terminal you will need to jumper. Just use some of your 18 gage thermostat wire
