Maintenance cost for central AC unit cleaning
My AC unit is dripping water from outside the house and I put freon last year and this year cooling power has gone down. I have two AC units (one upstairs and one for downstairs). A maintenance tech I called stated that both the condenser coils outside the house and the evaporator coils inside the AC units in the attic needs to completely cleaned and the upstairs unit needs additional freon. He is estimating about $800 for this job and I am in Houston area. Is this price reasonable or I need to get more bids or is there anything else wrong with my AC.

Get a second opinion. Don't tell the second tech what the first one said.
