    Irregular periods and pregnancy
My partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for only the past two months really and ii know its not long or anything but should ii be worried because ii have irregular periods? Will ii be able to have kids? How can ii help myself relax and not stress so much about having a baby? So maybe ii can. How would ii know without going to the doctor if ii can bear a child? Please help me. I've been wanting a child for a very long time this is killing me.

Yes, 2 months is not a long time in terms of trying to conceive. It takes most healthy couples a year or more before they are successful.

As far as the irregular periods go... honey I have been there, and am still there! I haven't had normal periods since I first starting having them. My doctor used to say it was because I was so active in sports and had such low body fat. My doctor started me on BC pills to try and help regulate me. I still didn't have normal periods, but somehow managed to get pregnant with my daughter, with irregular periods, AND ON BC PILLS!

After her birth, I went right back to not having periods. (I could never have a normal period unless I was on some type or BC pill, and even then sometimes I wouldn't even have periods). But I wasn't too concerned because I wasn't trying to conceive and was quite content with not messing with a period. But now my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant. We have been having a hard time concieving and I too thought it might be because of my irregular periods.

Having irregular periods really only hinder you if you are trying to track your ovulation and most fertile days. It is hard to come up with a time frame of ovulation and fertility if you can't have consistently regular periods, I know. So my doctor started me on Prometrium to regulate my periods. That seemed to help.

It's a good idea to get a check up by your doctor though. Let them know you are trying to get pregnant. They can do bloodwork to make sure all your hormones are at the right levels. And they can see about helping you regulate your period.
If you are set against going to the doctors, start a prenatal vitamin, and you could try using ovulation tests, to better help you detect when you should ovulate.

    Good luck :)

Wow! Thank you so much for telling me all that. ii was thinking there was something wrong with me. I'm really involved in sports too and ii never thought that this could be the reason to my irregular periods. But I'll try to talk to my doctor right away about that thank you again so much!:D
