I once read a book around the year 2001 when I was in middle school. My memory is very foggy, but I am hoping someone knows about the book, I need it for a class I am taking now in college.
Details I remember

-It was a big book, 600+ pages
-It was fiction and dealt with what I remember in Africa in the wild.
-something about primitive people wearing loins cloths, scenery of large rocks
-threat of death being prominent/ survival
-maybe dealing with modern day people who visit and find these people, or get lost and meet up and have to survive?
-Some type of sexual scenery
-It was a very complex book, I remember this scene in which a guy or girl or two of them are around a fire and are in the night and are in fear of other cave people or death, or animals surrounded by large rocks, an animal/human attacks and the character has to kill.

I don't believe so, I read the summary and plot of that, it doesn't seem right. Thanks so much though for helping!
