    CFL Blub and timer switch
I have been using CFL bulbs in three outside lights that are on two different circuits and controlled by SPST light switches. I'm going to replace both switches in their respective circuits with timer switches, however, the timers do not support the CFL ballasts. According to the instructions, I can use incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. Yes, I actually read the instructions before installing the switches! :D

I'm curious, what is the difference between the "P" ballast used with fluorescent lights and the CFL ballast?

Don, you can use any Swylite Corporation Digital Wall Switch Timer with your CFL's. They are proven to work with CFL & LED bulbs down to a 1 watt total power draw. Most of the other timer manufacturers units cannot be used with CFL circuits for the ballast kills the timer or visa-versa.
