    Water in drain of bathtub
I also discovered another "problem" recently in the plumbing. The bathtub upstairs drains with no problems, fairly quickly, and it's never like I'm ever standing in any water when I take a shower. However, today, I was cleaning the tub and noticed that there is water just a few inches down the drain. This is hours after the tub was last used. I'm assuming this is a problem, but as I said, there's never been any water that stands in the tub itself, and no draining issues - anyone have any ideas that might clear up what's happening here? I'm unlikely to call in a plumber if like I said, the only "problem" is that you can see water down in the drain somewhere. Thanks!

The pipe is not falling correctly, but your drain is fine, don't worry about it

I cleaned a pair of boots off in the tub. Debris went down the drain from off the boots and I think that this may be part of the problem I am experiencing. Anyone care to share their preference for the lever type bathtub drain vs the lift and turn type. I have always had the lever type stopper but I don't think they have worked real well after they get a little age on them.
