    Property Lien
    Hello
I was wondering can someone put a lien on your house without you knowing it. They didn't have a judgment but say I owe money to them.

The only exception to this could be a contractor who did work on the home which would be allowed in some states to place a lien for the value of the work done to the home.

But normally there has to be a judgement to allow a lien to be placed. You would have to be served notice of a hearing for the judgement,
But once they have a judgement, they will not give you a notice of a lien.

They would have to obtain a judgement against you before they can place a lien on your home.
