Why the hell am I scared

Sup, ight I got a question. For some reason or another, I cannot find it in myself to really go up to a girl and talk to her. Sometimes I can and what I don't get is that every girl I have gone up and talked to I've either dated or hooked up with or more but those times are few and far between. So I don't understand why I'm so damn nervous.

    The above is more-than-likely true!

It took me a long time to work up the courage to ask out any girls that I liked and with whom I wanted to do any dating. After I finally did ask some of them out, I got a lot better at doing it. I was always a little nervous after asking the first girl out. But, not nearly as nervous as when I asked the first one out!

Feeling at ease asking girls out just takes practice. The more that you do it, you will realize the things that you should say and not say. Please be prepared for rejection sometimes. It will happen.

It's called F.O.R.... Fear Of Rejection. It's only human to not want to hear the word no. Nobody likes that word, not even a little!! Even though the odds are in your favor, somewhere in the back of your mind, you know that there is always that possibility of being rejected or shot down. Not to mention, we don't always make it easy for you all, with our "playing hard to get" and our own insecurities. You know when I was younger I actually turned a guy down because I was so insecure with myself that I thought he was just playing a joke on me because he knew I liked him?? Thinking back I wish I had just taken that chance. I mean obviously I'm extremely happy in the relationship I am in now, but I wish I'd been more willing to risk the chance of getting hurt, to enjoy the happiness that could have surpassed that. In any case, I can promise you one thing... hearing no a thousand times now is going to mean nothing to you once you hear yes from the girl of your dreams. Live life, take a chance. There is a saying "You can't win it if you aren't in it." Needless to say, it's talking about the lottery, but it's true with relationships also. You can either stay in your own secure world, where no one can hurt you, but you will never love, or you can take a chance at pain to work towards the happiness you will inevitably find. Think about it man... think long and hard about where you want to be and how you want people to know and remember you. And always remember, confidence is extremely hot in guys (just don't let it turn to conceit). Good luck and I hope everything works well for you. Sorry so long =)

Maybe you just need practice talking to girls. Try making a friend whose a girl. After I made my first guyfriend, talking to boys was soooooo much easier. You can start by talking online with girls. You can start with me. Contact whenever

Yes, she might say "no." I've had plenty of women say no to me. Most of the reasons have been that they were already dating someone else and were exclusive to them. It hurt to be rejected. But, I understood the reasons.

Also, most likely someone who will say no to you won't be unkind to you when they say it. The only thing that might make a difference to you is how you feel about and deal with the rejection.
