Have taken cat to 6 different vets and everyone says something different, nothing ia helping our cat. We are a family of pet lovers and I have never seen anything like this. Our cat "baby girl" is chewing at her skin up to the point of it bleeding---her intense biting at her nipples is strange, she has never been outside and has never had kittens. There are no fleas and she gets along well with the other 2 cats we have. We were told she had separation issues she was given pills, then it was fleas, she had none, and then we were told something in the house was doing it, put we watch her in a cage and still she kept biting herself. Then we were told that she would have to be put down. Can she allergic to herself? We need an answer fast. Has anyone ever heard of a cat doing this before? She is killing herself! We have no answers from anyone! ::mad:(

I am sorry to hear of your troubles with your cat.
I would like to try to help you find answers but it sounds like most things have been brought up.
Fleas of course are the first thought. Even if people don't see fleas doesn't mean they are not there. A run through of a flea comb and inspection of the skin and fur for flea "dirt" would show that, which I am sure the vets have done.
A cat can have an allergy to flea bites and doesn't need to be infested to have reactions.
The cat can have allergies just as we do. It could be the food or any number of things she comes in contact with. This is very difficult to figure out.
Behavioral issues do come in to play but medication, such as prozac, would help that.

Where exactly does the cat itch? You mentioned nipples, is that the only place?
There are also homeopathics that can help with skin issues, such as Rhus tox.
I am sorr that there aren't any clear cut answers, that does happen sometimes.
