    Truck windshield has dust like particles in it?
    I have a certified toyota tacoma truck. My problem is that it has a dust like appearance PERMANENT imbedded in wind shield. No matter how clean it is, it has a dust like appearance in sun light. Almost like sm stones hit it. Any cures to remove? Thanks,John :confused:

    That is probably exactly what it is. I believe the term is pitting. Mostly found on vehicles with a lot of highway miles, it is the result of the windshield being "blasted" with small dirt and rock particles from the road. Due to the size of the affected area (whole windshield). The only fix I know of is to replace the windshield.

    If the condition impedes visibility, you may want to aggressivley discuss this with the dealer that certified the vehicle, if near by.

    Short of replacing the glass, there are treatments available for that condition... they may however become responsible for the slip-stick condition you referred to in an prior post. Check with you local glass shop to see if they have any ideas. Ask them if it was their glass, would they try compounding it or replacing it...
