I am pretty sure that the alternator is going up in one of my friends 99 civic ex. I just have a few questions about replacing it. How do I untighten and tighten the belt? How do I know if it is tight enough. Should I replace the belt? Thanks, Mike

I am not a grease monkey, but can get through mechanical procedures if they're not too complicated. How hard is it to replace an alternator on a 91 Honda Civic HB? Can anyone walk me through this? Is there a site online that has illustrations on the procedure? Thanks for your help.
