I want to get married.
Im 18 years old and my girlfriend is 15 and we want to get married. One thing is im a girl shes a girl.. Her mom is fine with the relationship and I get along with her fine but she wont let her move out until she is 16. We live to far away to see each other enough for our relationship to work, were falling apart after a year and couple months. If we get married we can live together and have the life we want. Is there a way for us to get married without permission??

I am just curious, what type of wedding dresses will you both wear on the wedding day?
Will you both have MOHs?
...
No offensive, just curious.
Will you get her engagement ring or not? How will you afford it?
Do you work? How about her? Where you going to live together after getting married?
Who is the bride? Who is paying for the wedding?
Just curious... nothing offensive... just curious...

I dont wear dresses, far from that. Yeah I will get her a ring, which I already picked out and will pay for with the money I make landscaping. She doesnt work shes still in school, we will live with my parents for a few months since we are going to move to a different state and i have to find a job there. No wedding right now its not important whats important is saving our relationship. And all these questions pointless they didnt help my question at all.

When you girlfriend moves out, when she is 16, will she be emancipated then? Or is your state one that allows a 16 yr to be an adult? Depending on where you live, you may not legally be able to marry. You did not state where you live, so I cannot tell you if a legal union would be recognized where you live.

You are from the United States, but which state? CHECK your laws where you live. If you cannot say where you live, then please call an attorney at least and find out. Someone who is 18 and is intimate with an underage teen, can be viewed as a sexual offender. The law would be the one to speak to this, since this 15 yr old's Mom appears to be clueless.

So this is a lesbian relationship? If so, I'm not sure you can get legally married anywhere in the US, but I'm not necessarily up-to-date on the latest news. Better check the laws where you live. Anyway, getting married to save a relationship is almost always a bad idea.

Did you not read what I said her mom knows how old I am and everything she's fine with it. Maybe you never had a relationship but you can't help who you love. The state doesn't matter if there is a state we can get married in then we will go.

It seems you are getting irritated by everyone's post. I am just curious is this your first relationship with a female? I know you are in love and so is she but your very young. I married at 17 its hard because you are still growing as a person. You talked about moving or moving to another state to get married if you had to. Is it possible to move closer to your girlfriend so you could see each other more often and work on your relationship? That sounds more plausible. Working on your relationship is better to do before you get married or live together it will make your bond stronger. Remember she is 3 years younger and how much growing and maturing you do in those years before adulthood you yourself will go through many too.

For me, the issue is not how you can get married without permission, but why. First, you may have difficulty finding a state/county that would "legally" marry two women. Second, it will be nearly impossible because of your partners age. In most states, younger partners must either have parental consent and/or be pregnant with a signed statement from their doctor before age 18.
Part of what you must learn as an adult is that getting married does not save a relationship. Sure, it may help to spend more time together, but it doesn't mean you should marry. (It may just be my humble opinion, but marriage should be taken very seriously and not rushed into for impetuous reasons.) If you're falling apart now, what makes you think an official marriage will change that?
If we get married we can live together and have the life we want
Believe me hun, Marriage does not make life a bowl of cherries. Sure, its good when both partners are ready and able to take care of each other but it has its downs as well.
Be together, but have fun and be young first.

If you love her so much why can't you wait until she is of a more mature age? If you can't deal with a relationship it doesn't matter what state you move to, the marriage will fail.
