Does he want me back?
My ex broke up with me about 2 months and a half ago and in recent weeks, he's been acting strangely... I bought a ticket to a show and went by myself. I knew that it was something he would be interested in watching too, so I told him when I was going so we wouldn't meet in the cinema. He ended up buying a ticket and sat next to me. I was very cold during the show and he warmed my hands with his. I took them away from him of course. After the show, he made me have dinner with him and basically treated me like how he did when we were still together. And at times, even nicer than when we were together. Then when it was time to go home, he didn't offer to send me home. The next day, he asked me out for a movie.
I called him yesterday to ask him what his intentions are and he said he just wants to be friends. If that's all he wants, then why did he treat me that way?

How old are you both?
Could be that he really wants to be your friend.

We're 21. He broke up with me very suddenly although our relationship didn't have many problems. He's been quite lonely since and hasn't found someone new.

Sounds like he's confused! At the end of the day do you want to be stuck in your life with this confusion. You can either play it his way for a while and see where it leads (keep it cool) or ask him directly (where is this going? Kind of thing) or just forget about it and go NC. As said it could be that he values you in his life but doesn't want to be in a relationship at the moment. If you can deal with that and him seeing other girls then by all means go for it. Personally my heart was split in half when I saw my ex with other guys. I never been hurt like that before in my life... Good luck to u!

miss_a,
Here comes the question that everyone hates to ask but... Could he be gay?
If not, perhaps he just wants some time to sort his head out and decide what he wants to do with his life.
Good luck. I hope it works out well.
Sounds like he would make a very good friend.

You are YOUNG... No one knows what they want in life anyway...
But until you are at least 25, you really are on a random search.
Be glad for a warm hand in the theater, and move on. He likes your warm hand,
and your friendship, and that's about all for now... if you want more, keep moving.
*He's gay anyway
(just kidding!! U needed a smile I thought)

I think he wants your company with out being exclusive so he is free to be with someone else if he finds them. You should really leave him alone.

Ill go with Tal. He likes having you around but he doesn't want to commit to you. I don't think he is gay. Just immature.
