What type of product is it? If you've never done this sort of thing before, you'll be amazed at how much the start-up cost is to manufacture a new product.

You could've answered my question rather than mess up my rating. "Product" is a vague term.
Is it metalwork, polymer, fabric, woodwork? Circuitry or simple mold?

I'm sorry, didn't realize I was messing up your rating.
I am working with a few inches of thin wall pvc pipe, that is covered with a picture.
I don't know who to contact to make these for me in volume>>??

Oh, it's all good. The rating's not that big of a deal, but I can't help you out if I don't know what I'm dealing with.
The first question you need to answer is whether PVC is the ideal substance for it. Then you need to determine how many parts are involved in the entire finished product.
For example, the PVC part sounds like an already-available product, so that'll be easy. Is the picture finished, too, or is it something that you assemble/make on your own?
Obviously, be vague so you don't expose your invention, but determining how many parts are in the final product is the key to finding a manufacturer(s).

I thought I had something I wanted to manufacture years ago. You have to determine whether you want to make it yourself, sub-contract or sell a license for the product to be made by a 3rd party. There are books available in the library that address it.

Cut plastic
Sand ends
Apply picture
Apply varnish
If my idea takes off, I'm hoping I'd get thousands of orders.
LOL... dream on...

None of the individual parts need manufactured, right? The sum of parts need to be assembled?
You can subcontract that type of work. Locally, try your board of mental retardation, as simple tasks can usually be completed by their workforce and they're often happy to get the contracts. Contracts with them are usually pretty cost-effective.
If it's too complex of an assembly, then start searching for companies that already assemble parts into finished products.
Or, assemble them yourself, see if the product does well, and then it'll be easy to find someone who's interested in assembling the final product.
