    What is a substitue for pectin?
    I'm trying to make homemade plum jam, but I don't have pectin. Is there a substitute I can use? How about gelatin?

    This is what I use, 4-5 cups of fruit, 4 cups of sugar, 2 tbsp lemon juice, yields 5-6 1/2 pints.
