    Amana LE8207W2 Dryer
We have a dryer which is about five to six years old and has been having a problem. We went to get it checked out and the heating element was fine. The dryer then ran for a week perfectly and then stopped again, this time when the button is pushed in it makes a high pitched sound but does not turn over. The timer on the dryer has also been found to work and the fuses/wall plug was replaced. Does this mean that it's the motor? Any help that you can provide would be great, we're tired of hanging our clothes out on a line. :(

Well, as hot as it has been here in TN, it wouldn't take long to dry outside. LOL Have you check the belt and the tension pulley? If you find them to be OK, the your motor is bad. Good Luck

Amana dryer problems [ 1 Answers ]

My Amana dryer is squealing AND buzzing. Squealing when it might decide to run, and then if it turns on, it runs but cuts off midcycle. When I press the start button it makes a buzzing sound (like the timer buzzer) and may or may not turn on. Model # LEA80AW. Thanks for any help/advice out there!
