    How do you remove the starter from a Simplicity Broadmoor with a BNS 16 HP # 303777?

    Well you can do it an easy way to gain access, but takes a little more time if you do not have the correct technique or tools to do it without removing as much. So here is the long version:

    1. remove screw from oil fill dipstick tube.
    2. remove screws from the dust cover of the starter.
    3. remove the bolts holding the blower housing(top cover of engine).
    4. then you will gain easy access to the starter.
    5. disconnect the battery.
    6. disconnect the positive lead cable to the starter.
    7. remove two starter mounting bolts.
    8. reverse steps to re install new starter.
