Jumper the motor directly from 110 v with a cheater cord to motor. If it doesn't run now the motor is bad. You can also test the motor with ampmeter. If the stalled motor is drawing 10-20 amps or more, replace it. Check for resistance between each motor lead. If there is continuity replace the motor.

Motor has 7 leads. Which two.

The neutral and power. More than likely the white and black. Should be diagram on sheet of paper stuck inside the console or motor will have it on it. L1 & L2

Test with ohm meter white(netural) to each of other(not green). Without lokking at the schematic cannot tell what other colors are for other that sppeds and reverse. I am going to look and see if I can find service manuel on this for you.

I am reading through and get to "water pressure". Hmmmm, could this be a washer and not a dryer?

UNPLUG unit. Put one lead of meter and leave on red; the other test on each of the other leads, you should read 1-5 ohms with meter set on RX1

Can anyone tell me based on this schematic which leads to jumper with a cheater to see if it spins up? The schematic is at www.i-netcomputer.com

Maytag Performa motor no spin heater OK
Heats up but motor does not spin. Checked door switch, thermal prot at elements, thermal at motor - all OK (zeroes ohmmeter).

Motor spins free but does not power up. All leads check against the RED lead are all infinity.

    Motor is S58NXMYN or 53-3728

    Dryer isPYE2300AYW rev 10

    Thanks
