    Maytag dryer fan
    The fan "freewheels"... spins without the motor running. When the motor is running the fan does also turn but makes a "rumbly" sound. Should the fan wheel spin without the motor running?

    Check the fan itself. Is is tight on the motor shaft? If it is then the shaft on the motor could be the problem. May have to replace the motor
