I can understand why there is a nursing shortage after hearing that schedule!
My sister in law is an RN, but she works as a lactation consultant - less stress she says.

Man, to only be a lactation consultant would be wonderful!!
I did not even give HALF of the schedule. I left out family obligations such as going to Rae's games when she cheers. I will have to miss ALL away games... Little J's soccer practice on Thursdays... Cooking... Cleaning... Helping with homework for the little ones...
My oldest turns 21 on September 13. Where will I be? In the hospital, delivering babies.
He thinks it is cool though that Mom will be delivering babies on the day that he was born, so that is AWESOME in my book.
Heck, he even has to schedule his wedding around Mom's nursing schedule. Does that suck or what!!

I can't wait till my kids are grown enough so I can do what I am supposed to do. What would that be? HUH? Anyone know? CBW probably knows, she always does. Hope you guys have a great night. Hugs, and J, if it means anything, it won't kill them to live for you once in a while. It simply won't!

Start, I don't mean to offend, really I don't. But you are a stay at home Mom. You can't begin comprehend what it means to miss a game or a practice. I was once a stay at home mom to my oldest two. So I can appreciate where you are coming from. But having to ship one kid to a friends, the other to the MIL, cause I am in school, hubby is working... etc.
My youngest two have to go to games... practices... and the like knowing that Mom and/or Dad can't attend.
No, it may not hurt them in the long run, but they are disappointed just the same.
I sat down with Rae this evening with our respective schedules. I get to attend every home game, but miss the away games. Dad can't go to away games due to the major expansion of our family business (from the size of a small gas station to the size of a Wal-Mart), and he is the only one who does his job. He simply can't get away.
You have heard the old addage... "You can't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes." Well, I have been where you are, so I can see where you are coming from... But it does hurt them when we don't attend. For the past 5 years I have attended every single one of Rae's swim meets, this is the first time I can't attend something that is important to her.
You are right, it won't kill them, but in these impressive years, it is something that they will remember.

I was actually talking about your son making sure your schedule fits his Wedding plans, LOL. But you are right, I have chosen to wait till they are out to do something like you. We will see what that adds up too. I guess we all have to decide and I am under the impression that you and your kids are mighty close, you work hard and they are loving you the same. Yes, disappointment but with REWARDS for them and you. That is all I was saying sweet. So you go girl, like I said before and they will love you still with all their heart. MMMMMM that sounds so good, doesn't it?
EDIT:::::
One more thing, in the post above you have mentioned some pretty powerful and real things that are good, I just wanted to point them out. I have taken no offense to it and I think it is great that you guys have come this far, it shows, lot's of hard work and love. Hugs to you J...

My doc said the cokes were better than the cigs... lol.. Im allowed no more than 200mg a day... I have a severre caffeine addiction. I do drink water though, but I can't drink it unless it is flavored. I have raspberry water most of the time. Im such a bad pregnant woman. Its no wonder I'm kicked so often, he's probably doing cartwheels in there.

Lol... you got to love how quickly they work. I love Connor to death when he's sick (sad as it sounds) because it's the only time he'll let me hold him for a while :) But I'll take him hyper an healthy any day.
