    Things that happened today
Earlier, I was walking in the grocery store and was looking in the freezer section for some icecream my wife had asked for. I must have been concentrating because a lady pushed one of those huge "theme" carts that looks like a race car, right up next to me. I wasn't paying any attention, being absorbed by the selection in the window, and I didn't see the little girl that was inside the cart, hunched down.
Well, she popped up and said, "HI!!" Let me tell you, I jumped. And she must have known she startled me, because the expression on her face changed and she sheepily asked, "Are you ok??"
I was so stunned, all I could do is say, "Im not supposed to talk to strangers" and I kind of walked slowly away. I needed to regroup... :p

I feel bad. She was only having fun... I just wasn't ready. Normally I'd goof back. She might have been 6-ish or so? Her Mom just chuckled as I left. I'm sure she'll be fine... I still laugh myself to tears when I look back on it..

Captain, you are really tickling my funny bone this morning. You are so funny!

I think what you did will create a great story for those two ladies to repeat over and over again. When that kid grows up, she is going to laugh about it.

This is priceless. Can you imagine the kid talking about this in school?

You might have started a trend, wait till the next kid approaches you..

    I love it!

My BF cannot understand why I'm laughing so much right now.. he's not got a humorous bone anywhere..

I hadn't thought of it that way.

    I shop there frequently...

This may start a trend. We'll become the target of little girls shouting, "BOO!"
