You need to call your Social Security office and tell them just what you said here. Or you can go to their website - Social Security Online and click "Disability and SSI." Why were you taken off SSI? Has it been within the last six months? I ask that because if you were taken off in the last six months, it is easier to reapply - the time for reinstatement is supposed to be less than if you just applied for the first time ever.

You can call the toll free number -
Social Security has a toll-free number that operates from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday: 1-800-772-1213. If you have a touch-tone phone, recorded information and services are available 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. People who are deaf or hard of hearing may call our toll-free TTY number, 1-800-325-0778, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Please have your Social Security number handy when you call us.

As a Social Security Paralegal, I can tell you to please contact your local district office and not the 800 number. It is always best to appear in person in the office.

If SSA has found you longer disabled, you will need to reapply or file an appeal if it is within the prescribed appeal period that was on your terminiation notice.
If you had too much income for the time, you may need to prove that you did not earn that income. You may be reinstated if you no longer have that source of income.
There are several other reasons as to why you may have been terminated. So the best advice is to contact SSA as soon as possible.
