    Fundamental Differences between operating systems
What are the fundamental differences between Windows, Mac OS, UNIX, and systems for personal computers? What unique characteristics do mainframe operating systems have?

Please don't ask us to do your homework for you. You can Google each type of OS to get such info.

The Cell Code of the operating systems and their way of function are different. That's because of program language that used by firms hope that will help.

The difference is the kernel. Windows runs on Peaches ansd Cream, while *nix is based on yellow. Mac OS is comes with the husk.

Hmmm... Chris, I believe that Vista now uses the flange defribrillator system threading model for the ROM bus.

You're forgetting that now that both Windows and Mac's use the same hardware they can both take advantage of the internal flux capacitors thus minimizing the cross modular incongruencies in their base dependency models. The benefits of this to the individual operating systems should be clear to everyone.

Ah, so THAT's why they both support USB devices so well. Good to know, jstrike. I always just thoought that it was because the kernel mode emulation of the z-matrix CPU was dependent upon the Transport layer of the OSI model, and the Front Side Bus of the Device Manager made API calls to the RAMBUS.

Woo, RAMBUS. Bet you haven't seen THAT one in a while.

Hey, thanks! Now that I know that, when I do eventually get Vista, and it crashes, at least I know that there is a pretty sure way of bringing it back to life! :)

If it wasn't for Signetics Fully Encoded, 9046 x N, Random Access, Write Only Memory Chip, p/n 25120 Windows would not have been possible.

That is great information. We really must not forget technological breakthroughs of the past. For some of us old farts it's really tough to remember what life was like before random access write only memory.

    That should read 9046XN, with a capital "X" or the p/n is a 25322.

Your posted p/n raises questions about power supply cooling tower binary fan run time errors. And does doesn't address cross-modulation interthermal dispersion. The link you posted clears this up nicely.

Now that everyone's read it, I need to post the history of the WOM data sheet:

The origin of the WOM - the "Write Only Memory"
