When do you start to show?
I missed two periods and I'm going to make a dr's appt. for next week to find out for sure that I'm pregnant.. According to my last regular period I should be 11 weeks tomorrow.. Right beneath my belly button I have a slight bump its not big enough to give clues that I'm pregnant yet but I'm outgrowing my shorts and when I try to suck my tummy in it won't go away hmm?? I'd love some advice:rolleyes:

It varies for each women depending on the pregnancy and their size. I moved out of my skinny jeans very early with this one, at around 10 weeks or so... but I'm pretty thin. I never started showing this early with any other pregnancy. Most women start showing anywhere from 14-22 weeks... so it's a wide range... there is a belly gallery at Baby Gaga: Stroller Reviews, Baby Tickers, Pregnancy Calendar under pregnancy models if you want to see alll the different sizes and shapes. Just curious, have you taken a HPT yet?

I could wear my jeans until I was at the end of 5 months with my son.

10 years later with my daughter, I was moving into the preggo-pants at week 9.

Enjoy shopping for maternity clothes. They are so much better now than they were a few years ago.

You are most likely pregnant then. Different tests find different levels, but false positives are extremely rare, and typically due to an early miscarriage rather than a faulty test.

Emland is right, the maternity clothes today are much nicer, and with the current styles, you probably could get away with the first 6 months or so without having to buy maternity tops...

I started growing out of my prepreggo clothes around 8 weeks. I started showing pretty early for a first timer, but every person is different. I've been noticeably pregnant for quite some time now (I'm 25w4d). I don't think I've been able to actually fit into my regular clothes since about 12weeks. It definitely sounds like you are pregnant. Make sure you get into the doc asap. Prenatal care is very important!

If you are getting a positive on any test then I would say you are pregnant. False positives are rare, actually I don't believe in them. Go to the doctor and make sure to start taking prenatal vitamins.
I am 12 weeks (went to the doctor today and got to hear the heart beat). I am wearing what use to be my baggy jeans but now they fit perfectly. I can still wear all my old tops and few old pants but I do look "fat". I like wearing the maternity or looser fitting tops because I don't feel or look as fat. I told my husband that I can't wait to get the definite pregnant belly so people will stop thinking I need to lay off fast food and donuts (which I don't eat either).
But everyone is different and unfortunately you go through that "fat" looking stage before you get the cute belly.
Best of luck to you. Keep us posted and let us know how your doctor visit goes.

I was in the same pants until I was about 18 weeks pregnant. At 28 weeks I still don't use many maternity tops. I have found long stretchy tops fit my frame better. A lot of the maternity stuff is still to bulky for my frame. So don't take not needing new clothing as a sign you are not pregnant. I'm sure late in pregnancy I may need to ware a few more maternity tops.

I am currently 22 weeks pregnant, and I am still in my prepregnancy clothes, one of my girlfriends is due the same day as I am, and she has been in maternity clothes since week eight... I guess everyone shows differently.
