If you're in the U.S. the court clerk for your county/state would have this information to give you for free (since judgments are public record). Also I would think your credit reports (from the big 3: Experian, Equifax, Transunion) reflect judgments. Depending on what state you live, you can access/request your credit report for free at www.annualcreditreport.com.

What makes you think one might have been placed?

    Hi
5-6 years ago I lived at another address. At that time I was hospitalized for a length of time. My rent was owed for 3 months. I had moved. I had a great repour with my ex landlords. As I was settling in and on ssd. I received a judgement papper. I had gone back and spoke with my ex landlords. I had left a very expensive dinning room table worth much more then the rent owed. Also, I myself had put down a new floor myself worth half the amount owed. They had told me that I should have spoken to them right away, but, I was still recovering from my serioious health issus. Now I haven't received any more judgement pappers since I spoke with them. And that was 5 years ago. So, I felt that the judgement was resolved. I'm still on disability with additional serious health issues and I am just trying to clear up old matters.
    Thanks for your reply,
    Kathy

Do you still have the paper? If soi, it should list a court and you can check with the court. But it sounds like they filed a suit, then your contacting them caused them to stop it.

    Hi Scott,
Sorry for the delay in your response. Been very busy and trying to figure this site out lol. Yes, I, did go and speak with my past landlords and told them of my serious illness. They said I, should have told them right away but,I,said I, was very illat that time. I, had put in a new floor myself and left a $1,000 table in the apartment which was at a more value then past rent owed. I, had not received any more papers on a judgement since I, did speak with them. And that was 4 years ago. Now, that my health is improving I, am backtracting to correct any or all financial problems.
