    Internet explorer 7 problems connecting!
    Hello to everyone first of all glad to have found this site to exchange info. Now to the question it seems that when I tried to upgrade about 2 weeks ago from Yahoo 7.5 to version 8.1 it wasn't the right thing to have done. It worked about 2 or 3 days good but 4 th day I couldn't sighn in at all, so I removed it then went back to 7.5 then that is when problems started it seems I might have removed a file that I shouldn't have or reset an connection setting. I could not enter a chat room at all all that would and still comes up is a box that says getting categories or rooms and nothing ever comes up except that. It is like chat is now totally disconnected form messenger, I was wondering is Yahoo chat connects through the IE explorer becaues now after I removed the later version of Yahoo explorer doesn't work it says can't display page something at the bottom left of page like res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm# and internet explorer cannot display page. Also my windows update if I try to connect from start, programs will not connect it says check to make shure internet is connected. And my Norton Live update will not connect. Also some time I get a cc svc hst .exe error don't know if that would have anything to do with all this or not! Well that is about all I can tell you hope some one knows something to try besides system recovery since I have done went past the point of system restore. By the way I am running xp using a dial up modem

    The only option that I can see here is, C: Format your windows xp, then try to install the final version...

    Try it!! Why ? You migh have a kind of spywire or something that doesn't let updgrating to continue, so let get starting with C:

    This error is related to a M$ patch KB931768

    Temporary Solution...

    1. Start IE7 using Start->Run iexplore.exe -nohome -extoff
    2. Right click on the toolbar area and tick Menu Bar if its disabled
    2. Tools->Options->Advanced->Security->Disable Phishing Filter

    Should resolve the issue.
