Have you checked your check valve on the tank, is it on the inlet side of the tank, is there one there and is the arrow pointing towards the tank? There should be one to hold the water in the tank, Good luck, Mike

My old tank didn't have a check valve and neither does this new one. I called flotex and the said that I could install one on the line before the pressure switch. But if neither tank came with one, how would installing one help. Thank you:(

I thought that if the water was back flowing into the well, a check valve prevents this, maintains the pressure at the tank and piping through out the house. If you have a check valve at the pump it may be stuck open, but it would not hurt to add one at the tank. I hope you find your problem. Mike
