"INTERNAL SERVER ERROR"... I have been attempting to go on pointask.com for the past few days and I cannot get through - does anyone know what is going on and why this is happening? Is there a way to get in to my questions and replies or are they lost forever?

I tried too and got the same notice. They do suggest notifying the [email protected] and that is all you can do.

I used to be on it (I remember you!! ) and was told recently by another long-time poster there that he couldn't get on. He got the same message you did. There is a lot of spamming being done on Q&A sites like WeTellYou (I think that site has died now) and Answerway (it's going downhill fast), so PA may have gotten bashed by the same spamming gang. You may want to check out pointaskpowwow : POINTASK POWWOW It was started by John Brooks who has some limited moderation authority there now. There has been some discussion of that topic there. The site went down sometime last evening. In his Yahoo group, John is speculating it could be due to his efforts to get a response from the administration. It has been a pitiful shadow most of this year. I think AMHD thrives due to a strong marketing program. I wouldn't miss PA or AW if they both shut down. I spend too much time making sure questions there I should answer aren't going unanswered. As it is, AMHD and All Experts take up more of my time than I can afford.

PA combines the poorest structure of any site plus no control of people playing the multiple identities game.

I haven't been following the Pow wow very carefully, but haven't seen anything new. If they were dogs, I would send PA and Answerway to the rainbow bridge. I don't know if they could be fixed, but if so, it would take a bundle of marketing money. CPM anybody?

Sites come and sites go, looks like PA has finally given up the ghost.

Doesn't really surprise me as the owners have shown little, if any, real interest in it in YEARS!

Thanks for your reply... you mentioned others are at "AMHD"... what is that and where is it located? I did like pointask and will be very sad if it goes down :(. Would you know how I could get to all of my questions and replies at pointask.com - in the "archive" (if that is what it is called)? Thanks.

AMHD is where you are now. You can't access the archives on the site you want because it isn't there any more. I hope you realize by now what we are saying, you can't get on that site any longer.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee excuse my ignorance with computer related matters. I am self taught and basically just know how to surf the internet, emails etc... simple stuff. I do not know how these things work...
