What is a T blade Tandem plug for an 18,000 BTUH Air Conditioner
I just ordered a Frigidaire room air conditioner to replace a Gibson Air Conditioner which has died. The outlet the Gibson is pluged into has three prongs one round prong and the othe two are flat. The breaker in the box says 20 amps and only operates the Gibson air conditioner. My question is the new Frigidaire is a bigger unit and requires 230/208 Volts and Amp say 7.9/8.6. Will I be OK with the Outlet I have Now?
    Thank you for your help.

Yes you will be fine. The outlet and plug you have is a 250 volt 15 amp device, on a 20 amp circuit. No problem.
