    Bypass power-on password
Help! I am currently going to need to use an older laptop, a Compaq Prosignia. It runs Windows 98, but is still usable until I can buy a new laptop. I can't remember the power-on password. Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to bypass it? I've tried to boot it from the CD; that doesn't work. I can't even get into the OS to boot in safe mood or anything. Just a blue rectangle on a black screen requesting power-on password.

    Thanks Thanks Thanks:confused:

Basically you have to take the whole thing apart, remove the BIOS battery and reassamble.
