Transfer probation from New Jersey to North Carolina
I am 18 years old. I have a felony crime of possession of a weapon-handgun. I received 3 years probation and probation transferred to North Carolina by a judge. I have been accepted to college with financial aid, room assignment and a support program. I start school 8/8/2007. Can North Carolina deny me even if the judge in New Jersey wrote that I can go to school and have my transfer sent their? I am scared. My probation officer said they may not accept me. What can I do.. this opportunity can change my life forever. I need a sense of direction and some help. I no longer can stay in New Jersey. Its not good for me.

Yes they may still refuse you, NC is not bound by any court order in NJ.
All the NJ court order does is give their permission to leave.
That is also required. Also I hope you have asked for this transfer some time ago, since it can take several months to get permission at time.
