    Have you tried any of these? Please don't just list a bunch of questions and expect answers, you won't get any.

    1. Let x = side length of square
    4x = perimeter
    x^2 = area
    Solve the equation: x^2 = 1.5(4x)

    2. Solve the equation: 560(2)r = 145.60

    3. Solve the equation: 4x = 94 ; then calculate x^2

    4. Calculate: new area - old area

    5. Solve the system:
    x + y = 11
    10x + y + 45 = 10y + x

    6. Solve the equation: 1056 = 4(.08)P

    mathtutor, are you really a math tutor?

    If so, you must surely realise the importance of being able to phrase the question mathematically by yourself. This is what I was trying to get the poster to do, as it is sometimes the hardest part of the question for some people.
