    Multimedia Audio Controller
I'm having problems with my sound.
Someone mistakenly deleted my 'multimedia audio controller' while I was away.
I have a Fujitsu Siemens laptop, Amilo L7310GW model with Windows XP.
There is no sound whatsoever, there also isn't a device to adjust volume etc.
When starting the computer, I'm prompted with a window that tells me to install new hardware, which is the 'multimedia audio controller', however I have no cd or the like to install this device.
I have downloaded Everest Home Edition with the hope of a solution and nothing, I have searched the relative websites and I must be blind because I can see nothing that will help with my problem. Perhaps I was looking at the wrong websites, I don't know. It's driving me up the wall.
Any suggestions would be hugely helpful.
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for replying, I really appreciate it however I figured out my problem.
Sometimes you forget the basics lol I realised that I didn't try restoring my computer to a previous date and upon doing that, it worked and I now have full sound back. Yay!
