I had a client who wrote stuff down at home and brought it in to me, let me read it, and then we talked about it. At first, she was quiet and shy, didn't want to talk, so I had her write more during a session. She opened up as time went by. Sometimes she wrote during a session, and other times she talked. Sometimes she did both. It was OK with me. We got a lot of issues out in the open. Writing was her thing, so why not!

Start a journal now as you think of things. Write them down now, so you are ready.

It's always been 10 times easier for me to talk to a therapist than anyone other than my best friend and family. It's their job so they're pretty good at making you feel comfortable around them. You may not click with everyone, but I'm sure eventually you'll find a therapist that you'll be able to talk to. And like wondergirl said, you can always start by writing things down. What I'm trying to say is, give it a try, I'd recommend it.
