    Irregular, monthly period?
Hi, I really know nothing about this site but I'm curious, I used to have a regular 5 day period. And in the past couple months I noticed that my period has gotten shorter and shorter, last month it lasted 3 days and it was one day of a normal period and just spotting, this time I had my period yesterdays and it was normal, but today I have no period, no bleeding at all. Is it normal to only have one day of your period or is there something wrong? I thought I may be pregnant after the last period but turns out I am not, thank god.
    Thanks a lot.

A woman's body is constantly changing, and the hormones are changing with it. Almost every woman at one time or another is going to experience irregular periods, no matter how regular their periods have been in the past.

How did you confirm that you are not pregnant? HPT? Or doctor visit?

Oh okay. Some women experience light bleeding in early pregnancy, that's why I asked. It might benefit you to take another HPT in about a weeks time, or go to the doctor and have him/her confirm you are not pregnant. Just as a precaution :)

yeah that's what I thought which is why I took the test. But I also thought it could be because of stress and a poor diet and I really can't go to the doctors so I'm just trusting the test. =/

Wait another week or two and take another HPT. If you are pregnant, your hCG level is not high enough to detect on an HPT yet.

If it still says negative, you really should try to get to the doctor and have him confirm it. If he says you are not pregnant, you can discuss other reasons your period is acting this way :)

Don't jump to the conclusion that you are pregnant just yet. Like I said above, there are other factors that cause the problem you are having :)
