    Gahh peeling skin
    Hey there, umm I have a farmers tan from sports and iveh ad it for about a year. Ive played rugby and football out in the burning sun and I never burn.. I tan. Well this summer I've stopped playing and haven't been in the sun to long. Now the top of my hand is peeling like mad and all rough skin. And my hands are very rough and dead skinish too! What do you think the problem is?

    Rough peeling hands are a result of dry skin which lacks moisture or water. There are many factors that can cause it, such as hot and cold weather, taking hot showers or bath, or skin condition called eczema. Try using an oil base moisturizer to help restore your skin's soften and elasticity. If it doesn't work, please go see a dermatologist. He/she can make a proper diagnosis and prescribe a treatment that's right for you.

    Scott55, if it's just your hands that are rough and peeling, it could be from any of those factors from above. But if you think that it's from a tan, you should keep your skin hydrated. Try to drink plenty of water and apply Aloe Vera lotion on your hands. Aloe Vera is great for sunburn and peeling, it will help treat and heal your skin.
