    John deere mowing deck belt replacement
    Can anyone show me a diagram of how to replace the drive belt on a 42 inch deck on a john deere lx255 mowingriding mower?

    I have no way of posting diagram but I can tell you. Loosen the sheaves (pulleys) and belt guides. The inside of belt will go on back side of each of th 2 blade pulleys. On the discharge side it will come around to the back side of smaller pulley. On left side it will come to back side of the forward pulley. Then it will go around the jacksheave on the engine shaft. Just remember, th notched side or inside of belt will always go to the v side of pulley and the back side or flat side of belt will go to the flat pulleys. Good luck
