    Lease agreement liability
    By law am I liable for paying the remainder of my lease agreement,since I broke it, if a new tenant is now occuping the space?

    Hello cheryl:

    No. You are liable for rent up to the time it was re-rented. If you have a landlord who wants rent from you too, don't give it to him.
