    Valve clacking
    I have a jdm d15b and it sounds like my valve are clacking but only when the engine has a hard going up hill's and thing's like that but that's it. When I'm driving normale it's fine.
    Somebody help me don't know what to do about this little probleme. My haynes manual doest help me one this won.

    Have valves adjusted. Hopefully, you have changed your oil regularly and don't have premature valve or cam wear. You may also need to retard your timing slightly. Mark the distributor housing and mounting flange with a straight edge and marker. Loosen the 3 distributor mounting bolts and rotate the distributor 1/4" counter-clockwise. Then, retighten the mounting bolts and see if that improves the situation. Many Hondas end up needing their timing slightly retarded from specs.

    Thanks I just got my timing belt change and the mechanic never saw a d15b before didn't know what it whas but found something in a book about it. Yes I do change my oil regualy.
    The thing is the oil that used to be in their whas thick I don't know if the jap's got a special oil or something.

    Use 5W-30, preferably full-synthetic.

    What is the correct clearance I need for my valves the manuel doenst say nothing about my d15b.dont want to make it worst.
